Have Yahoo`s Valentines predictions been right?

Did any of you receive watches or diamonds from your Valentine today? According to data shared by the search engine Yahoo, online searches for these items were the highest in the run up to today.

They revealed that searches for gifts for men soared by 274 per cent over the last seven days .It seemed that the most popular gift for men this year was watches, as searches for these were 202 per cent higher than usual over the course of this week.

The classic diamond earrings were the favoured choice for the ladies. Apparently Yahoo saw searches for these surge by 370 per cent week on week.

There could also be more than a few engagements today as it was also reported that searches for vintage engagement rings had seen a 190 per cent rise.

It also seems that Valentine`s Day is no longer just for couples and has become more of a family affair as searches for " Valentine`s Day crafts for kids" rose by 145 per cent.
