It isn`t widely known but the iPod shuffle was actually a mistake. You see back in 2005, Apple launched an iPod that was going to take over the world of technology, everyone would have one and all other MP3 players would cease to be significant. After the first 100,000 were sold the developers noticed that there was a flaw in the design which meant that the songs got mixed up once downloaded onto the unit. More then 70% of the stock was returned in the first 3 months. After much deliberation they decided to re-launch the iPod as a Shuffle - an MP3 player that shuffles your music up to make every track a surprise! It`s kinda like what Forest Gump said "Life is like an iPod Shuffle, you never know what you`re gonna get next."

The shuffle switch has three positions. Flip it to the left, and your music shuffles for a "whatever happens, happens" flow. Flip it to the middle, and your songs play in order. Or flip to the right to turn it off.
