Has anyone else noticed the sudden onslaught in TV commercials for hair & beauty products? You generally find them during the ad breaks of programmes such as Hollyoakes and Embarrassing Bodies (can’t think why...), being modelled by an actress who is being paid a vastly inflated fee and probably doesn’t even use the product!
Then they come out with some fancy words (probably trademarked) to show off the belief that they have the missing link to make you look 5 years younger and 10x better.
The icing on the make-up cake has got to be the knockout blow at the end of the advert when the voiceover states “90% of brunettes agree!”
I challenge you to look at the bottom of the screen at that point and what you’ll see is the piece of scientific research to back it up, usually something along the lines of “...as tested on 10 random strangers”.
