I saw these laminators the other day on a TV shopping channel (for a whack more than Boffer might I add) and using my latest tech recording facility (Sky+) to transcribe the message (pen and paper) I’d like to share it with you.
You know the setup, two presenters flogging something to an imaginary audience, trying to avoid the awkwardness of them actually not liking each other. Here’s how it went...
Dave “Up next Jenny we have some fabulous laminators, lot number 112659”
Jenny “Indeed we do, Dave, did you know this laminator laminates both hot AND cold?”
Dave “Hot AND cold?! Extraordinary! I am always finding myself in need of both hot and cold. Sometimes lukewarm laminating just doesn’t do it”
Jenny “It certainly doesn’t, Dave, but hot AND cold?! I mean surely it’s only standard to have one or the other, not both! Here’s some more trivia about the Heatseal H312 Dave, guess how long the heat-up time is on this stunning piece of machinery?”
Dave “Hmm, ok. Heat up time, let me see. Well from an average laminator I’d expect say, half an hour to heat up, but this is no ordinary laminator so...oh I don’t know, Jenny, amaze me!”
Jenny “Five minutes”
Dave “Five minutes? Five minutes?!”

Jenny “OK Dave you go make a cup of tea, I’ll turn it on and I bet you it will be heated by the time you come back”
