This item is described as
80-pin female to 2x 80-pin female ultra-ATA cable for IDE hard drives and CD/DVD drives
when in fact it is
40-pin female to 2x 40-pin female ultra-ATA 80 way cable for IDE hard drives and CD/DVD drives
This cable is often wrongly described this way but if you count the sockets on the connectors it is obvious there is only 40 pins
There is no such thing as an 80-pin connector for IDE drives The 80way cable has an earthed screening cable between each of the main 40 conductors.
