Is television better or worse than it used to be? Certainly it`s more sophisticated, polished, and faster. The choice today is huge but is it better?
Here are my suggestions, presumably for ITV. For one week they will show programmes from each decade, i.e. Mon 60`s, Tues 70`s, Wed 80`s, Thurs 90`s, Fri 00`s. Schedule will be a typical nights viewing including adverts from that era, with products that are still relevant.
On the Saturday night each era would have a champion promoting their particular decade, and then we could vote; Oscars style. Let me know if you like the idea and which programs you would include. Perhaps we can then petition ITV.
Before anyone complains I`ve missed out the 50`s, yes I know there was TV in the 50`s, but even my dad (and he`s an ancient 53) can`t remember that far back.
