Everyone knows that ‘if you want to know the time ask a policeman’. Tracy Bagstock was rather taken aback when she did just that and was told by the police officer that he couldn’t give her the information. Asking him for an explanation he told her it was now Essex Police Policy that ‘no details of police operations and procedures should be given to the public as part of their clamp down on organised crime’.
Tracy asked him how telling her the time would come under the policy, he explained that in order to be effective, organised crime had to know the time. Reducing the opportunities for organised crime to be time aware, would have an adverse effect on their criminal activities.
Being rather bemused by the answer, Tracy then called into Chelmsford Police Station and spoke to the desk sergeant who confirmed the police officer was quite correct and corroborated the story by pointing to the wall, where a light circle clearly showed the site where once had hung a clock.
Perhaps from now on if you want to know the time, you may want to ask
your shiny new Police watch. That we just happen to be selling at an
extraordinarily reasonable price.

The other day my sister was asking about my job. She asked what my job title was and I thought about it for a while and then said “Marketing Consultant” –that’s what it says on the About Us section anyway. She then asked about tonight’s Boffer and wanted to know what exactly it was. This is when I got stuck. You see with Boffer I just have to write something slightly witty about a simple product but I’ve never really been asked to actually describe the product before so I didn’t really know what to say this, so I said - “An external hard drive is just like stuffing your bra with tissue paper; if there isn’t enough on the inside, add some more on the outside!”
She seemed to understand this fairly well but I was shocked when I saw her at the park with her boyfriend later on. She was wrestling him to the ground trying to stuff socks down his jeans!
“Victoria!” I screamed, “leave David alone, it’s not his fault his ill equipped!”

So, today I was walking around the warehouse looking for something for tonight’s Boffer. But of course Tom was one step ahead of me all day putting all of the good products onto BigOffers.co.uk at prices that I couldn’t even match, I don’t know how he does it. He was starting to get a little pretentious about it so when he went to lunch I stayed in the warehouse and knew we would have a hidden gem somewhere (we always do). I scuffed my Jimmy Choo Shoes, got my Prada trousers dirty and don’t even get me going on the little tear on my Gucci shirt but it was worth it in the end because in the deepest, darkest corner of the last warehouse on the estate I found 5 boxes full of hard drives! I haven’t told Tom about it yet and just to make it even worse I’m giving you 5 x 10 GB hard drives for only £6.99. Can’t wait to see his face in the morning when he logs onto Boffer!
