They do say that the camera never lies but in the case of Robert Turnbull that’s exactly what happened and now he’s suing Kodak for ruining his holiday.
Eighty three year old Robert is, well, rather old fashioned and he sticks stoically to 35mm film to take his photographs.
He and his wife were celebrating their Golden wedding anniversary on board a cruise ship he dutifully sent his film to be developed.
When they arrived back he took them down to the local pub to show his pals. It may have been prudent to look at the photos soon. Kodak had sent him the wrong photographs. In the place of his happy snapping cruise snapshots they had sent him photographs of a gay nudist beach. With lots of bronze chaps waving more then just hands at the camera. Roberts friends of course were making the best of an unfortunate mistake, however, Robert failed to see the funny side and is claiming definition of character.
Meanwhile, in a separate claim, a young man from Dorset is seeking a similar sum of money from Kodak. However, he has requested that his identity should remain under wraps, which is clearly more than his holiday buddies were doing.

Thank goodness we are finally seeing sense. I am sick and tired of computers being the B all and end all. Computers are great for certain things. I couldn`t do without mine, and you wouldn`t be reading this without yours.
However we must stop thinking they have all the answers for stuff like music. `Music` vinyl is making a comeback. Why? Because the artwork on album selves is fantastic. Records are tactile and the sound is much warmer and involving. What about books? daft idea having electronic books, especially if you like to read in bed. Anyway I love buying a new book and turning to the first page.
Filing Cabinets - ok computers are the biggest filling cabinets ever. However you can`t skip through an electronic filling cabinet, the way you can a real one, you can`t store bits & bobs, or a bottle of booze in the bottom of a computer programme.
Computers might have arrived, but real genuine filling cabinets are here forever.

This is a great deal, but there is a slight problem with it that feel we should tell you about before you make your decision to buy. You see when we bought them in we thought they were all brand new, however we soon got a phone call from Syco Records saying that they accidently sent 4 cards back to the manufacture and these same cards got mixed up with our order. The cards contain fresh material from Leona Lewis, Susan Boyle and Alexandra Burke, the recordings haven`t even been released to radio stations. Now we haven`t got the time to go through each individual card looking for ones that have the new songs on but if you do find one we would very much appreciate it if you could let us know as Simon Cowell is getting his knickers in a right twist over it.

As we get older it is inevitable that we are going to loose some of our memory and get a little jittery. Take my grandma for example; just last week she completely forgot that she was married and slept with 4 other men from the day centre. And the week before that she completely forgot that she was meant to be home by 7pm and flew off to Las Vegas for weekend with her mates.

Everyone knows that ‘if you want to know the time ask a policeman’. Tracy Bagstock was rather taken aback when she did just that and was told by the police officer that he couldn’t give her the information. Asking him for an explanation he told her it was now Essex Police Policy that ‘no details of police operations and procedures should be given to the public as part of their clamp down on organised crime’.
Tracy asked him how telling her the time would come under the policy, he explained that in order to be effective, organised crime had to know the time. Reducing the opportunities for organised crime to be time aware, would have an adverse effect on their criminal activities.
Being rather bemused by the answer, Tracy then called into Chelmsford Police Station and spoke to the desk sergeant who confirmed the police officer was quite correct and corroborated the story by pointing to the wall, where a light circle clearly showed the site where once had hung a clock.
Perhaps from now on if you want to know the time, you may want to ask
your shiny new Police watch. That we just happen to be selling at an
extraordinarily reasonable price.

I have a one-legged friend, great guy, terrific sense of humour. The latter trait is fortunate because in a fit of generosity I bought him a netbook.
By their very nature netbooks are designed to sit on laps. Simon discovered that they aren’t meant to sit on half a lap. The first time he tried it and being rather heavy handed he hit the Enter key causing the netbook to over balance and fall to the floor. Fortunately it was an Acer and he was pleased to see it lying on the floor still working apparently unharmed.
It isn’t easy for a one legged man to stretch down to the floor from a wheelchair and in his hast and anxiety he fell forward out of the wheelchair and landed head first onto the computer receiving a painful bump to his nose.
Nervously he checked the Aspire One and was delighted to see it was still functioning. With practiced skill he climbed back into the wheelchair before noticing that he had left his new P.C on the floor.
Being back to square one and never being the type of chap to give in easily he promptly fell back out of his chair finding himself and the Aspire One reunited. Deciding not to attempt re-entry into the afore mentioned mode of transport he propped himself on to his elbows and
proceeded to use the P.C.
